To shed light on this relationship, a recent study utilized data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) spanning from 2005 to 2018. Analyzing a large and diverse population sample, the study found that individuals with higher DII scores were more likely to experience stroke, even after adjusting for various confounding factors.
