A new restaurant, Antojitos Mary Tierra, has opened its doors in New Britain, offering a unique blend of Ecuadorian and Colombian cuisine. Located at 89 W Main St, the eatery marked its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony just in time to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
A Dream Come True for the Owner
Restaurant owner Marco Cherres, 44, originally from Ecuador, shared his excitement about the opening. Speaking to the Herald in Spanish, Cherres said:
“Many years ago, I had a project and was dreaming of having a restaurant with Colombian and Ecuadorian food. Finally, the dream I had 15 years ago has come true.”
The First of Its Kind in the City
Cherres expressed pride in offering a culinary experience that combines the flavors of two countries.
“I feel fortunate to be the first Colombian and Ecuadorian restaurant in New Britain,” Cherres noted.
Serving Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Antojitos Mary Tierra caters to customers all day, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week, providing a wide range of dishes that showcase the rich traditions of both Ecuador and Colombia.
For residents of New Britain, this new spot offers a taste of authentic Latin American cuisine while celebrating the diversity of Hispanic culture.
