Virgin Atlantic has introduced a new menu for the upcoming Autumn and Winter season, bringing the rich flavors of Indian cuisine to passengers flying at 35,000 feet. The menu blends modern British culinary techniques with traditional Indian dishes, offering a wide range of indulgent and wellness-focused options for all travelers.
Key Dishes in the New Menu
Among the standout offerings is Lamb Dahwalla, a fragrant lamb curry prepared with tomato, coriander, and okra, served alongside flaky paratha. For those who enjoy bold flavors, Mutton Lal Mass offers a spicy Rajasthani mutton dish cooked in a red gravy, complemented by zafrani pilau, green pea masala, and dal tadka.
Vegetarian passengers can enjoy Paneer Makhani, featuring creamy paneer in a rich tomato gravy, served with bhindi masala, channa dal, and tadka pulao. Another popular option is Vegetable Korma, a coconut-based curry with mixed vegetables, paired with almond basmati rice, saag masala, and naan.
Beverages and New Additions
In addition to the main dishes, passengers will also have the option to enjoy a selection of beverages. These include spicy chai tea, a comforting and aromatic choice, as well as Manipura, a new welcome drink exclusively available to Upper Class passengers. Economy and Premium customers can also look forward to the refreshing Lucky Saint, a non-alcoholic beer.
Expanding Virgin Atlantic’s Presence in India
This new menu launch comes as Virgin Atlantic strengthens its presence in India. The airline now operates five weekly flights between London Heathrow and multiple cities in India. Furthermore, passengers can take advantage of codeshare connections with IndiGo to access 34 additional destinations across the country.
By combining traditional Indian flavors with the convenience of in-flight dining, Virgin Atlantic is aiming to enhance the travel experience for its passengers, especially those with a love for Indian cuisine.
