50-Year-Old Dessert Shop to Open First Vancouver Location

by Ella
A popular Quebec-based dessert shop is bringing its sweet treats to Vancouver. Chocolats Favoris, known for its signature chocolate-dipped ice cream cones, will open its first location in the city in Winter 2025.

New Location in Gastown

Chocolats Favoris will open at 14 Water Street in Gastown, the former site of Native Shoes. The new Vancouver location marks an exciting expansion for the 50-year-old brand, which has been crafting chocolates since 1973.

Signature Treats and Monthly Features

The shop is renowned for its ice cream dipped in rich chocolate, offered in a variety of flavours and toppings. This month’s feature is a strawberry and cream ice cream, complete with dehydrated strawberry pieces, a drizzle of white chocolate, and mini meringues.

In addition to ice cream, the menu includes the ChocoFav Poutine—a sweet treat made with crispy dessert fries, mini marshmallows, and soft ice cream, all topped with a choice of chocolate sauce.

Handcrafted in Quebec

All chocolates and desserts are made in the company’s 42,000-square-foot factory in Quebec, where a team of artisan chocolatiers handcrafts each treat with care.

While the exact opening date is still to be announced, the Vancouver location is expected to open in Winter 2025, according to the company’s Instagram.
