Desi Dosa Madras, a popular local Indian food chain, is preparing to open its third location in downtown Vancouver. The new restaurant will be located at 1039 Granville Street, expanding the chain’s presence beyond its existing locations in Coquitlam and Delta.
Known for Dosas and Indian Cuisine
Desi Dosa Madras is best known for its variety of dosas, a popular South Indian dish. The menu also features a wide selection of curries and vegetarian options, catering to a diverse range of tastes.
Restaurant Space with a History of Change
The new location on Granville Street has seen several restaurant openings and closures over the past few years. The most recent tenant was Skewers Middle Eastern Cuisine, which closed shortly after opening. Previous businesses in the space included Anatolia’s Gate, a Turkish restaurant, Arabesque, a Syrian bakery and café, and Street Auntie, a modern Chinese venture.
Opening Date Pending
While no official opening date has been announced, Desi Dosa Madras’ new downtown Vancouver location is expected to attract both local residents and visitors eager to enjoy its flavorful Indian dishes.
