Today, Sonic is giving you two new reasons to order your fries.
The fast-food chain announced that it is introducing two new flavors of dipping sauces, Jalapeño Ranch and Asian Sweet and Chili. The Oklahoma-based fast-food chain explained that this way, fans can get what they want, whether it’s “creamy and spicy or sweet and spicy.”
More specifically, Sonic said its Jalapeño Ranch sauce is “a fiery blend of fan-favorite classic flavors. This sauce combines ranch with a hint of the refreshing flavor of green jalapeños for a spicy, herby and creamy dipping experience.”
Meanwhile, the company added that its Asian Sweet and Chili sauce is “sweet, spicy and irresistibly delicious, this sauce strikes a bold balance of hot and sweet with notes of soy sauce, sesame, garlic and ginger.”
Even better, Sonic said it has also improved several other sauces, including ranch, honey mustard and barbecue sauce, to bring more flavor to every dip.
“Our guests love customization, and the new Jalapeño Ranch and Asian-inspired Sweet & Chili sauces allow them to experiment with different flavor combinations to suit their style,” shared Mackenzie Gibson, Sonic’s vice president of culinary and menu innovation.
“Whether it’s dipping our favorite Tots in Jalapeño Ranch for a kick or pairing our premium nuggets with Asian-inspired Sweet & Chili sauce for an added sweetness, fans now have more ways to personalize and enjoy their favorite SONIC meals with our expanded line of sauces,” added Gibson.
The brand has also added new items to its $1.99 menu (aka the “FUN.99 Menu”), including two new Chicken Sandwiches: the Original Chicken Sandwich and the Honey Smoked Chili Chicken Sandwich, both of which feature lightly breaded chicken and shredded lettuce, all served on a toasted, seasoned bun.
The $1.99 menu also includes Queso Wraps (available in Bacon Ranch and Southwest Crisp), French Toast Sticks, small Groovy Fries and small ice cream options (including Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper, Barq’s Root Beer and Fanta). You can now purchase the new sauces and updated $1.99 menu items in-store and on the app.
