China has exceeded the United States in daily per capita dietary protein availability, marking a significant milestone in global nutritional trends, as per the latest findings from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
According to the FAO’s most recent data, China achieved a daily protein supply of 124.61 grams (4.39 ounces) per capita in 2021, surpassing the corresponding figure for the United States. This metric serves as a crucial indicator of improved quality of life in modern societies, a development that some Western commentators and politicians previously considered unattainable for China.
