Event Details
Demera is set to host its fourth annual fundraising event, “An Evening of Hope: Music & Food for Humanity” on Monday, September 16th. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be held at the Bronzeville Winery, located at 4420 South Cottage Grove, Chicago, IL 60653.
Celebrating Culture and Cuisine
This year’s event will be hosted by Chef Tigist Reda and promises a vibrant celebration of culture and cuisine. Attendees can look forward to an evening filled with music and food from some of Chicago’s most acclaimed chefs and industry leaders. The event will feature a mix of live opera, a DJ playing local hits, and Tigrigna music from Ethiopia.
New Features
For the first time, the event will include a musical theme. Guests will experience live performances including a traditional Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony, an Ethiopian Market, and an Ashenda Tigrigna traditional performance.

Ticket Information
Tickets for “An Evening of Hope” are priced at $125. All proceeds will be donated to the Health Professionals Network for Tigray (HPN4Tigray), a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting those affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Tigray, Ethiopia, and Sudan.
Event Location Update
The evening will take place at the Bronzeville Winery, a location that will also become home to Demera’s second restaurant, opening in 2026.
