Star Chef Cooks at Local Resident’s Home
In an exciting episode for France 3 Bretagne, acclaimed chef Sylvain Guillemot traveled to the home of Pierre Bouton in Chartres-de-Bretagne, south of Rennes, to cook with everyday ingredients. This unique cooking challenge is part of the show Homard et Cordon Bleu.
Every week, chef Sylvain Guillemot, who runs l’Auberge du Pont d’Acigné in Noyal-sur-Vilaine, faces this intriguing task. The upcoming episode, set to air on Saturday, October 5, 2024, showcases his culinary journey with Bouton.
A Memorable Experience
Bouton described the experience as “magical.” He expressed his excitement, stating, “For those who love cooking, like me, it’s exceptional to have so much time to cook with a star chef. We didn’t just work as assistant and chef; we created the recipe together from start to finish, using our hands.” He praised Guillemot’s teaching style, saying, “He made me feel comfortable and even made me forget the cameras were there.”
The duo prepared delicious gambas for the show. However, Bouton humorously noted, “Now that all my friends know about the show, they keep asking me to cook gambas for them. It has become my signature dish!”
Tune in to Homard et Cordon Bleu on Saturday, October 5, at 11:15 a.m. on France 3 Bretagne to watch this delightful cooking adventure.
