Nestlé, the Swiss food and beverage giant, is introducing two new frozen meal brands in the United States, aiming to bring exciting flavors from Asian and Mexican cuisines to American consumers.
Introducing Mings and Tapatío Frozen Meals
Nestlé is set to market frozen products under two new brands: Mings and Tapatío. This move aligns with the company’s goal of providing “new flavors and food options” to consumers looking for more diverse meal choices.
Mings: A Fusion of East and West
The Mings brand is the creation of celebrity chef Ming Tsai. Nestlé describes it as offering a “fusion of East-West flavors,” combining traditional Asian ingredients with a modern twist that appeals to a broad audience.
Tapatío: Inspired by Mexican Hot Sauce
Nestlé is also partnering with Tapatío, a family-owned hot sauce company known for its bold, Mexican-inspired flavors. Together, they will bring new frozen meals to the market, inspired by Tapatío’s flagship hot sauce and developed in collaboration with Mexican chefs to ensure authentic taste.
Nestlé’s Expertise in Global Cuisine
Nelson Peña de Jesús, president of Nestlé’s global culinary kitchen, emphasized the company’s global reach and expertise in international cuisine. He stated:
“As the largest food and beverage company in the world, we have a deep expertise in global cuisines driven straight from the 118 countries where we operate.”
Peña de Jesús highlighted how Nestlé’s popular imported brands like Maggi and La Lechera offer authentic recipes from around the world. With the addition of Mings and Tapatío, the company aims to expand its international offerings in the US market.
Expanding Authentic International Flavors
Nestlé’s new frozen meal lines reflect a growing demand for authentic, globally inspired food. The company’s collaboration with Ming Tsai and Tapatío showcases its commitment to delivering diverse flavors that resonate with modern consumers.
By expanding its international portfolio with these brands, Nestlé seeks to provide American customers with convenient, authentic, and exciting new meal options.
