A New Vision for Maison Baccarat
Once a vibrant gathering place for artists in the 1920s, the Maison Baccarat in Paris’s 16th arrondissement has undergone a complete transformation. Today, it serves as an immersive cultural and culinary space that brings together Baccarat’s iconic crystal artistry with modern design and gastronomy. The venue now boasts a variety of spaces, including a restaurant, cocktail bar, ballroom, wine tasting room, artists’ residency, and a boutique showcasing Baccarat’s crystal creations.
Upon entering, visitors are immediately drawn to Baccarat’s crystal artistry, with a stunning installation by designer Harry Nuriev. The artwork features stone engravings inspired by Baccarat’s craftsmanship, while archival Baccarat pieces are preserved like treasures inside custom-designed refrigerators.
Art and Design Intertwine
One of the most striking elements of the space is a stained-glass installation by artist Pierre Tatin, which resembles a chapel of light. This ethereal work envelops guests in the essence of Baccarat’s crystal, guiding them to a serene garden by designer Jérémie Attali, set to open in 2025.
Inside the venue, guests are greeted by the grand staircase, where Marcel Wanders’ Monumental vase and oak sculptures by Jean-Guillaume Mathiaut stand illuminated by a breathtaking chandelier with 157 lights and 9,000 crystal pendants. Upstairs, the tasting cellar features a stunning canopy painted by Gérard Garouste, depicting the elemental forces of water, earth, air, and fire.
