Pok Pok Po, a newly opened “Fried Chicken Parlour” in Midtown, brings an exciting fusion of Texas and Indian culinary traditions to the table. Located at 3291 Louisiana, this innovative eatery is part of the Kahani Social Group and offers a modern take on fried chicken with bold, flavorful twists.
The restaurant, open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday until midnight, boasts a simple yet distinctive menu. The chicken strips are made from thigh meat, while chicken bites are crafted from the breast. All poultry used at Pok Pok Po is cage-free and free of antibiotics and hormones, ensuring a high-quality dining experience.
A Creative Culinary Approach
Chef Jassie Bindra, known for his work at Amrina, brings a touch of fine dining expertise to this casual concept, elevating the typical fried chicken fare. The menu is complemented by three signature sauces, all prepared fresh daily in-house:
Naughty Sauce: A zesty blend of cilantro and avocado with a kick of heat
Delicious Sauce: Sweet and nutty, with layers of flavor
Pok Pok Yanch: A creamy yogurt-based sauce with hints of ginger and mint
These sauces provide the perfect complement to the crispy, juicy chicken, offering a vibrant and flavorful experience.
A Future Highlight: Eat Drink HTX 2025
Pok Pok Po will also be participating in Eat Drink HTX 2025, taking place from February 15 to 28, offering locals a chance to experience its unique fusion of flavors alongside other exciting Houston eateries.
