The City of Albertville announced a new development project on Thursday that promises to bring a variety of retail and restaurant options to the area. The project, named Sand Mountain Marketplace, is expected to span approximately 246,000 square feet of space.
In partnership with Willow Capital Partners of Atlanta, Georgia, the City of Albertville is moving forward with plans for this exciting new development. The project is expected to include both retail and dining spaces, with formal announcements set for the spring.
City Officials Outline Key Developments
City officials are working to attract well-known national retailers and restaurants to the area. Among the names under consideration are Target, Jim n Nick’s BBQ, Outback Steakhouse, and other brands that are not currently available in the region.

“The City of Albertville is pleased to announce its public/private partnership with Willow Capital Partners of Atlanta, Georgia, to develop the 246,000 sq. ft. retail/restaurant project known as Sand Mountain Marketplace. The developer is in talks with several prominent retailers and restaurants for the project and plans to make formal announcements this spring. The approval of the development agreement marks a crucial step in bringing this exciting project to life. We are working to secure the remaining approvals needed, and as many have heard, Target, Academy, Jim ‘n Nick’s BBQ, Outback Steakhouse, and several other exciting retailers and restaurants are exploring opportunities within the development.”
