New Restaurant Proposed for Fairhaven’s Historic Double-Decker Bus

A new dining spot might soon be opening in Fairhaven’s iconic red double-decker bus, which was previously home to Fairhaven Village Tacos.

A building permit has been filed for the installation of a pizza oven at the location, 1020 Harris Ave. The permit, submitted on December 23, was approved by the city on December 27. The new restaurant, Tam Tam Pizza, is a local pizza food trailer known for serving Whatcom County. As of January 2, the Bellingham Herald reached out to Tam Tam Pizza for further details but did not receive a response.

Bellingham Boutique Under New Ownership

Adored Boutique, a popular clothing and home goods store in Bellingham, is now under new ownership.

Melissa Hatcher, who has been managing the boutique, is now the sole owner. She shared the news in a social media post on January 1, reassuring customers that the shop’s spirit will remain unchanged.

“Rest assured, while this marks a new chapter, the heart of Adored will remain the same. I am deeply committed to preserving everything you love about our boutique. Making each guest feel valued, adored, and loved will always be central to what we do,” Hatcher wrote on Facebook.

Adored Boutique continues to operate at 913 Harris Ave. and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
