Renowned chef Fabio Daniel, from the acclaimed Eat Out 2-star restaurant Rust en Vrede, will be participating in the prestigious Rheingau Gourmet & Wein Festival in Germany this February and March.
The festival, renowned for bringing together top Michelin-starred chefs and premium winemakers from around the world, spans 18 days and celebrates culinary and wine excellence. This year, the event will take place at Hotel Kronenschlösschen in Eltville-Hattenheim, hosted by Johanna Ullrich.
A Milestone for Chef Fabio Daniel
This marks the third consecutive year Fabio Daniel will take part in the festival, a testament to his commitment to his craft. Fabio expressed his excitement, saying, “Returning for a third year is an honor. It’s incredibly rewarding to see guests embrace the South African dining experience. What means the most to me, though, is the opportunity for my team to engage with chefs at this level, reinforcing that the standards we uphold at home are truly world-class.”
A Culinary Experience Like No Other
Chef Fabio and his team will join 47 other chefs, collectively holding 45 Michelin stars. Together, they will present a selection of signature dishes from Rust en Vrede, paired with a carefully curated collection of top South African wines. The goal is to offer guests an unforgettable South African dining experience that blends exceptional food and wine in a world-class setting.
