On Sunday afternoon, the Church of Nativity brought people from all over the world together with its International Cuisine Fest, a celebration of diverse cultures and unique cooking traditions.
Food served as the bridge that united attendees, offering them a taste of different countries and their culinary specialties. The event featured cooking demonstrations, cultural education, and a chance to share homemade meals.
A Flavorful Global Experience
Event organizers reported that this year’s festival showcased dishes from 15 to 20 different countries, reflecting the variety of cultures represented. “There’s food from Russia to Poland to America to Mexico,” said Christina Fefelov, one of the organizers. “People come and bring their favorite dish, and we all try it. It’s a great way to interact with parishioners and celebrate together.”
Fefelov, who helped prepare the Russian food for the festival, highlighted the community spirit that the event fosters.
Each year, the International Cuisine Fest brings people together to enjoy good food, make new connections, and celebrate the shared experience of cultural exchange.
