Southern Classic Daiquiri Factory, a well-known bar chain with locations in Missouri and Texas, has expanded its presence to Bridgeport, Connecticut. The new restaurant and bar opened its doors at 997 Main St. on February 7.
A Taste of the South in Bridgeport
Specializing in frozen daiquiris and Southern-inspired Cajun and Creole cuisine, Southern Classic Daiquiri Factory offers a unique dining experience. The menu features a variety of dishes rooted in the culinary traditions of New Orleans, Louisiana. Popular items include gumbo, crawfish étouffée, alligator bites, and catfish, alongside Bourbon Street pasta and red beans and rice.
Southern Classic’s menu also highlights golden-brown hush puppies, wings, Louisiana-style boiled shrimp, fried shrimp, and voodoo eggrolls stuffed with blackened crawfish, shrimp, rice, and Colby Jack cheese.
Frozen Daiquiris and Signature Cocktails
In addition to the extensive food menu, Southern Classic is famous for its daiquiris. The restaurant offers several frozen daiquiri flavors, including peach, strawberry, piña colada, and the signature hurricane daiquiri made with rum, lemon juice, and passion fruit syrup. Customers can also enjoy daiquiri flights and purchase large servings, including 32-ounce and half-gallon options to-go.
Southern Classic Expands Eastward
This Bridgeport location marks the chain’s fourth site and its first on the East Coast. Southern Classic Daiquiri Factory has established roots in St. Louis, Missouri, Fort Worth, Texas, and Dallas, Texas. The chain had previously operated a location in Oklahoma but closed it in October.
Southern Classic first announced plans to open locations in Connecticut in September, with Bridgeport being the first of the three locations. The two other locations have yet to be revealed.
Hours of Operation
Southern Classic Daiquiri Factory is open Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursday through Sunday until 11 p.m.
