The Leela Hyderabad Launches TIGA: A New Southeast Asian Dining Experience

by Ella

The Leela Hyderabad has officially unveiled TIGA, a new dining destination set to bring authentic Southeast Asian flavors to the city. Located within the prestigious hotel, TIGA is led by culinary experts Chef Albert Rayan from Singapore and Chef Shah from Malaysia, offering a unique fusion of Singaporean, Malaysian, and Chinese cuisines.

Authentic Southeast Asian Flavors in Hyderabad

TIGA, named after the Malay word for “three,” celebrates the rich culinary heritage of Southeast Asia. The restaurant uses carefully sourced ingredients, many of which are imported directly from their countries of origin, to ensure every dish maintains its authentic taste. In addition, TIGA has even started growing its own herbs and spices to guarantee that every meal is prepared with the highest level of authenticity.

The menu features a variety of iconic dishes. Singaporean cuisine, known for its blend of Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Peranakan influences, is represented by classics such as Chilli Crab and Hainanese Chicken Rice. Malaysian dishes like Nasi Lemak, Rendang, and Satay showcase the bold flavors and culinary expertise of the country. To complete the experience, TIGA also offers a traditional Cantonese Yum Cha, featuring fine teas and artisan dim sum, a beloved social dining tradition throughout the region.

Rajesh Gopalakrishnan, General Manager of The Leela Hyderabad, expressed his excitement about the new venture. “We are thrilled to bring TIGA to Hyderabad, offering the city a true taste of Singaporean, Malaysian, and Chinese cuisines,” he said.

Master Chefs Behind TIGA

Chef Albert Rayan, a renowned Singaporean culinary expert, emphasized that TIGA brings Singapore’s gastronomic culture to Hyderabad. “Prepare for dishes brimming with bold tastes, made with ingredients sourced from Singapore and Malaysia to ensure authenticity,” Rayan stated.

Chef Shah, TIGA’s Chef de Cuisine and a champion of Malaysian cuisine, also expressed his enthusiasm. “With a menu designed so intricately, with every ingredient hand-picked thoughtfully, we are certain that TIGA will become a star attraction for both travelers and the people of Hyderabad,” he said.
