Holland America Line Expands “Made Fresh Daily” Offerings with New Pastas, Breads, and Desserts

Holland America Line is enhancing its culinary offerings by expanding its popular “Made Fresh Daily” program to include an array of freshly prepared pasta, bread, and dessert options onboard. This exciting update allows guests to enjoy a variety of freshly made dishes, such as baguettes, spaghetti, and made-to-order pizzas, along with a selection of delightful desserts including gelato, waffle cones, pastries, and more.

New Signature Bread and Pasta Options

Starting this summer, Holland America Line will introduce a new signature bread: sourdough raisin with pumpkin seeds. This flavorful bread will be available every night in the Pinnacle Grill and on dressy nights in the dining room, adding a unique touch to the dining experience.

In addition to the new bread, the cruise line is introducing a range of fresh pasta dishes created by renowned chef Ethan Stowell. These include:

Paccheri with spicy tomato, shrimp, and parsley

These fresh pasta creations bring a taste of Italy to the ship’s dining options.

Delicious New Pizza and Desserts

At the New York Pizza venue, Chef Stowell has introduced the “Primo” pizza, topped with salami, pickled peppers, and red onions on a freshly made crust. This savory new pizza is sure to be a crowd favorite.

For dessert lovers, the “Made Fresh Daily” program includes an array of freshly made treats such as gelato, pastries, and waffle cones. The desserts are made from scratch each day, ensuring that guests enjoy the freshest flavors possible.

Sur La Table Cooking Classes

To further enhance the culinary experience, Holland America Line is teaming up with Sur La Table to offer cooking classes across the U.S. Guests will have the opportunity to prepare scratch-made dishes inspired by the cruise line’s Destination Dining program. The first class, “Made from Scratch Ravioli with Holland America Line,” will teach participants how to make:

  • Smoked salmon ravioli with vodka cream sauce
  • Swiss chard and ricotta ravioli with lemon brown butter
  • Stroopwafel apple crumble

This collaboration with Sur La Table is aimed at bringing the flavors of the cruise line’s international destinations to the homes of culinary enthusiasts.
