Denver Restaurant Week kicks off on Friday, offering a unique opportunity to explore over 300 restaurants across the Denver metro area from March 7 to March 16. One standout destination this year is Champagne Tiger, a restaurant that blends French and American cuisines for an unforgettable dining experience.
Must-Try Dishes at Champagne Tiger
Owner Chris Donato recommends two standout dishes you won’t want to miss. First, try the Wealthy Oysters from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. These oysters are medium-sized, salty, and briny, providing an unforgettable bite. For something hearty, don’t pass on the Mortadella Melt, made with rich and decadent Tempesta Mortadella from Chicago.
A Flavorful Experience with a Touch of Nostalgia
Chef Josh Hood hopes that each dish evokes a sense of nostalgia, offering diners a taste of childhood memories or local Denver flavors. “Hopefully, it hits some sort of points of your inner childhood,” said Hood. The menu is designed to provide a flavorful experience that reflects the community’s unique tastes.
Dining with Entertainment
In addition to a great meal, Champagne Tiger offers vibrant entertainment. Enjoy Pasta and Piano Nights every Wednesday, Fried Chicken and Jazz Nights every Thursday, and Drag Brunch every Sunday. The welcoming space is a celebration of inclusivity and joy, with a special focus on the queer community. “It is a celebratory, joyous atmosphere,” Donato shared. “The food kind of matches the amazing nature of the show.”
Summer Dining Awaits
When summer arrives, guests can relax by Champagne Tiger’s firepits and fountains, or enjoy the cool shade under the cabanas, creating a perfect setting for outdoor dining. This feature is set to open in May.
