A Flavorful Journey of Oregon Wines
This spring and summer, Cork & Barrel presents a series of dinners where a local chef designs the menu, highlighting seasonal ingredients and pairing them with wines from guest wineries. These intimate gatherings serve as a preview for the Cork & Barrel Sip event, which will take place on Friday, July 18 at COCC. The Sip event will showcase Oregon’s wine regions with tastings, auctions, and wine-focused celebrations, all benefiting the KIDS Center.
Redmond Dinner – March 20: Stoller Family Estate and Feast Food Company
The series begins on Thursday, March 20, in Redmond, with a collaboration between Stoller Family Estate and Feast Food Company. Founding winemaker Melissa Burr will guide guests through each pairing, while Chris Leyden, the chef of Feast Food, will highlight the flavors of Central Oregon through modern American cuisine.
Sunriver Dinner – April 15: PROJECT M Wines and Lake House at Caldera Springs
The second dinner is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15, in Sunriver, where PROJECT M Wines will take center stage. Jerry Murray, the winemaker and owner, is known for his elegant Willamette Valley wines. The dinner’s dishes will be crafted by Krista Matheis, chef de cuisine at the Lake House at Caldera Springs. Guests will enjoy a culinary journey through the Pacific Northwest, using locally sourced ingredients. The Lake House’s serene setting, with views of the lake and towering pines, will provide the perfect backdrop for this intimate evening.
Brasada Ranch Dinner – May 15: Alexana Winery and Brasada Ranch
The series will wrap up on Tuesday, May 15, with a dinner hosted at Wild Rye, the new culinary addition at Brasada Ranch. Dr. Madaiah Revana of Alexana Winery will join Karl Holl, executive chef at Brasada Ranch, for a special evening. Guests will explore the flavors of Central Oregon’s high desert through a refined yet rustic menu, showcasing the region’s unique culinary offerings.
