Ma Cuisine, the Michelin-starred French wine bar on Craig Road, is now serving breakfast on weekdays, giving diners the opportunity to enjoy classic French dishes with a modern twist. Founded by Anthony Charmetant and Mathieu Escoffier in 2018, the restaurant is known for its exceptional food and wine offerings. The latest addition, “Bonjour by Ma Cuisine,” brings the same Michelin-caliber attention to detail to breakfast, offering a relaxed yet elevated start to the day.
A Cozy Parisian Escape in Singapore
The breakfast experience at Ma Cuisine is available from 8 am to 2:30 pm on weekdays. The co-founders share their vision: “For years, we have dedicated ourselves to working with the finest produce, refining our expertise in selection, importation, and execution. With Bonjour by Ma Cuisine, we bring this same ethos to the morning and midday, creating a relaxed yet elevated dining experience.”
Guests are transported to a cozy Parisian bistro reminiscent of the Rive Gauche, with a pet-friendly outdoor terrace and red leather banquettes inside. The charming setting features vintage crockery and paper menu placemats, offering an authentic Parisian vibe.
Breakfast Classics with a Modern Twist
The breakfast menu includes an extensive selection of classic French dishes reimagined with a modern touch. Highlights include the Croque Monsieur Truffe, a luxurious take inspired by Escoffier’s mother, and the Quenelle de Brochet Sauce Nantua, a quintessential Lyonnaise dish featuring creamed fish and a rich crustacean sauce. The Jambon Persillé, a dish from Ma Cuisine’s original menu, also makes a return, featuring parsley-infused ham served in aspic for a delightful flavor experience.
Pairing Breakfast with Fine Wines
In addition to the delicious breakfast offerings, Ma Cuisine features an impressive selection of French wines. The menu includes renowned labels as well as lesser-known gems, such as the Bandol, Lulu & Lucien Domaine Tempier 2020, a rare Mourvèdre-based wine. Guests can explore the restaurant’s wine cellar, which houses over 1,000 rare bottles, or opt for a simple French apéritif to complement their meal.
With its warm ambiance and sophisticated menu, Bonjour by Ma Cuisine is the perfect place to enjoy an elevated breakfast experience in the heart of Singapore.
