Tony’s Chocolonely Recalls Easter Eggs Over Metal Contamination Concerns

Tony’s Chocolonely has recalled its Milk Chocolate and Caramel Sea Salt Easter Eggs in the UK after possible metal contamination was detected. Shoppers are being urged to return the affected products for a refund. The recall comes just days after the company also recalled another product involving a chocolate bar.

Tony’s Chocolonely has recalled two Easter-themed chocolate products in the UK after a risk of contamination with metal fragments was detected.

The affected products are Milk Chocolate and Caramel Sea Salt Easter Eggs (242g) with a best before date of June 2025. Customers should return the eggs to the store where they were purchased for a refund or replacement.

The company confirmed that the cause of the problem has been identified and fixed. Retailers and food regulators are currently removing the affected products from shelves.

Previously, chocolate bars were recalled
This latest action comes just days after Tony’s Chocolonely recalled two chocolate bars due to another contamination issue. Some batches of the Dark Almond Sea Salt and Everything Bar chocolate bars may contain small stones. You can read the report here.
