We’re sure this isn’t a belated April Fools’ joke. Instead, south London food hall Market Place Vauxhall is jumping on two London trends – dog ownership and splitting the G bill – for National Pet Day.
They’ve come up with a clever idea – give the dogs a small pint of Guinness. But before you start accusing the RSPCA of animal cruelty, you should know that the drink is actually a soup made from dog bones, topped with cream.
On National Pet Day (April 11), the pet beer will be free. The rest of the weekend, dog owners can get a free dog Guinness with the purchase of a pint of human beer.
