Iceland Foods has received the Vegetarian Society’s seal of approval for a range of vegetarian, vegan and plant-based products, including the new Iceland x TGI Fridays Meat-Free Cheeseburger.
The Vegetarian Society has awarded the seal of approval to 20 products from Iceland supermarkets. The approval underscores the supermarket’s ongoing commitment to providing clearly labelled meat-free options. One of the new certified products is a ‘melt in the middle’ meat-free cheeseburger, featuring a plant-based cheese sandwiched between a beef-free patty. TGI Fridays has partnered with Iceland supermarkets to launch the product.
A trusted vegetarian and vegan certification
The Vegetarian Society Approved trademark is a highly respected mark. It guarantees that a product meets strict standards. Products must be 100% vegetarian or vegan, contain no genetically modified ingredients and be produced without cross contamination from meat. Each product undergoes rigorous independent testing before being certified.
