His first restaurant, Casa Fofo, has already been awarded a Michelin star, and now chef Adolfo De Cecco is preparing to open his second restaurant not far away on Stoke Newington Road.
The new restaurant, called Bianca’s, named after his daughter, is more of a casual restaurant and bar than Casa Fofo. Like the chef’s other restaurant, it will focus on seasonal British ingredients and sustainability. The restaurant will also have its own dedicated charcuterie area, taking a cue from traditional Italian trattorias. There, they will focus on the cuts of each dish, such as the cured white pork neck.
As for the rest of the menu, it includes:
Fresh pasta, such as pork tagliatelle with smoked mackerel soup
Lamb sausage with mashed potato and crab curry
Tamworth pork tenderloin, bread, mustard
Asparagus, cashews, salted bergamot
Rhubarb seaweed salted milk ice cream
Hazelnut and shiitake mushroom puff pastry
For wine, they will offer 100 bottles of wine, with a focus on low-intervention wines. It seems the chef has been aging some special wines too, so those will be on the menu as well.
Bianca’s plans to make this an all-day venue, so they’ll soon be open in the mornings with freshly baked bread, pastries and coffee on tap. Casa Fofo remains very popular, so we think this one will be worth the wait.
